Setting up Photoshop

Once Photoshop CC has finished installing, you can open it by clicking Start trial in the Creative Cloud menu. You can also access Photoshop CC by going to your Applications or the Launchpad on your Mac computer.

When you first open up Photoshop, you should make sure you have the following windows open:

  1. Click Window in the menu at the top of your screen. A drop-down menu should appear.
  2. From the drop-down, make sure Layers, History, Adjustments and Color are all selected.

Here is a quick summary of the basic layout of Photoshop as described in the video:

  • Tools - left vertical bar.
  • Layers - bottom right section.
  • Adjustments - above the layers panel.
  • Colour/swatches - above the adjustments panel.
  • History - next to the colour/swatches.
  • Additional settings for tool - top horizontal bar.
